The perils of putting yourself in the public eye
In her recent opinion piece for The Globe & Mail, Robyn Urback argues that taxpayers should fund security for politicians as threats and harassment against them continue to intensify.
Unfortunately, this strategy would not address the root cause of the problem, which is tied to a revenue model and has disturbing implications for anyone whose career or convictions put them in the public eye.
